Chapter 12: The Siege
Carl Weathers also made his directorial debut in the show, and did an impressive job. As I said up top, this episode had a tough job to do following the last chapter which moved the plot along so significantly, but Weathers did well blending together an episode full of action, tension and intrigue with a bit of unexpected humor thrown in throughout.
Although this newest episode brings back familiar favorites such as Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), it feels one-hundred percent like a side-adventure rather than a meaningful and exhilarating continuation of The Mandalorian storyline. We follow our group of heroes as they embark on a new mission and there are plenty of fun action sequences in store for those looking for their action fix, but there is little to offer for those looking for a new chapter that further develops characters and builds upon the story.
